Our intent is aligned with the Vision Statement of the AOG, signifying that it is an “Association of influence and impact” supportive of the Mission of the AOG by “Working in partnership with the Academy” and enhancing the Guiding Principles of the AOG through an appropriate forum to address graduate perspectives.
We believe there are more opportunities for unity rather than division among AOG members through respectful dialogue and transparency.
Promotion of professional discourse and avenues to provide a broad range of AOG members’ experienced perspectives are important elements of an impactful association.
Like you, we are proud graduates of the Air Force Academy, but we are disheartened to see it embrace politically infused social engineering programs and politically charged ideological constructs.
Cadets overwhelmingly tell us these constructs are divisive, discriminatory, demeaning and create resentment in preparation for a profession that demands unity for success.
Standards have been lowered, equal opportunity is not ensured for all, and meritocracy has given way to special privileges for identity groups.
The emphasis is no longer to graduate the best warriors, who are fully prepared to be combat leaders.
While we recognize that interference in the operations of the Academy is not authorized, we believe firmly that your voice is important and has much to offer.
As USAFA graduates, our hope and expectation are that the organizations representing us, such as the AOG, adhere to our founding principles, purposes, and values, while insisting the Academy leadership do the same.
Unfortunately, this is not the case. We want to take the AOG beyond acting as a cheerleader for Academy programs and make sure AOG forums encourage healthy exchanges focused on warriors instead of politically-based ideologies which conflict with our Articles of Incorporation provision cited in the attached document.
Therefore, we graduates are candidates in the upcoming election for the AOG Board of Directors.
Our objective is to return the BOD to the purpose for which it was established, as stated in the AoI and the Bylaws, and away from supporting politically based social engineering programs at the Academy.
Specifically, the AoI’s purpose statement stipulates, “…. The corporation shall at no time be used in any way to support or oppose any political idea, organization, or candidate.”
We humbly ask for your vote in the AOG election to be held during February 2025.
If you are so inclined to lend your active support, please Contact Us and ask others to do the same, so that we can coordinate effectively.
Thank you for your service, and whether or not you can lend your support, we appreciate the opportunity to communicate with you.
