I would like to join the AOG Board of Directors because I want to make a positive contribution to the Academy alumni community as well as give back to the institution, utilizing my skills, talents, and time.
While at the Academy and especially since graduating, I have developed a profound appreciation for all that the institution has to offer, especially in terms of its unique and character-forming rigor. What was also a mainstay for me and many of my peers was the alumni community. Indeed, the AOG has the potential to be an impactful association if it is willing to be a voice for all graduates and wield influence in a professional manner. Among various things in particular, I believe there is much more to be done to express the grave concerns that graduates have expressed about the direction of the Academy and its loss of focus on warfighting. I too share these concerns.
Finally, my position at the Pentagon for the next two years will accelerate my awareness of major USAF initiatives and enhance an understanding of current directives impacting the Academy. In this environment I am committed to adapting schedules that co-operates with the BOD annual meetings.
