Chris "Mookie" Walker

USAFA Class of 1988 | Retired Air Force Brig. General

Being newly retired after wearing the uniform for over 40 years, a USAFA Prep School grad, and a 1988 USAFA grad, I strongly desire to serve on the USAFA AOG Board of Directors. Before retirement, I served in the Secretary of the Air Force Office of Diversity and Inclusion where I got an inside look at what the Air Force is trying to do with our Airmen.

I recently served as an expert witness for Students for Fair Admissions in its lawsuit against the USNA’s race based policies. I am quite certain the service academies can find highly qualified candidates from all walks of life without having to add booster points based on skin color.

I mentor dozens of youngsters who attend USAFA, USNA, and USMA and am deeply concerned about the direction the service academies are heading based on what I am hearing from those cadets. I believe the Air Force Academy’s mission should be to produce career officers to lead and win our nation’s wars, and the AOG BoD should represent the voices of all graduates, not just those who favor one political view.

If elected, I will support the voices of all AFA graduates being heard.
